International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

On October 17, in observance of the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, students of Maarif Tirana Campus – New York High School took part in a humanitarian initiative by donating food supplies to people in need.

In the presence of representatives of the Albanian Red Cross, students demonstrated their solidarity and compassion for those in need of support, showing that the values of humanity and generosity are cultivated through meaningful actions.

During the activity, students also received information about first aid and had the opportunity to learn more about the work of the Albanian Red Cross, as well as to become members of the organization.

Education also means nurturing empathy, responsibility, and a willingness to stand alongside others.
